Research
I am an associate professor in the John Molson School of Business of Concordia University in Montreal. I am in the Department of Supply Chain and Business Technology Management. I obtained a PhD in information systems and decision sciences in December 2003 from Louisiana State University.
I believe in the pursuit of excellence. I believe in setting high goals for myself. I believe in dreaming: Though dreams often seem as ephemeral as the passing clouds, the reality of refreshing rain is born only of clouds pregnant with hope. (I like to wax poetic now and then.)
My central research interest is applying the Internet for organizational benefit. At present, my primary research focus is open content and open source software. I have had three specific research focuses (plus a phase of researching miscellaneous topics), which I list in the reverse chronological order of my pursuit of them:
- Open content and open source software
- Research methodology
- Applications of the Internet in developing countries (e-business and telemedicine)
- Competitive strategy using the Internet
- Miscellaneous topics, such as the use of wirelessly networked mobile computers, e-voting, and information systems usage and satisfaction.
