Following the Lamb inwardly

This morning, I had an inward conflict in trying to be one with a brother. I have realized from the Lord that I need to not struggle or compete with him, but just follow him in what he is doing; yet it has been a struggle. But this morning, with the word from the conference still settling in me, I realized that it is wrong to try to follow a brother outwardly. I realized that I am not following any person, but I am only following the Lamb. So I asked myself, where is the Lamb inside me going? I realized that the Lamb was following this brother in what he was doing. Immediately, I realized that I had to follow the Lamb where He was going. The struggle was over, and I easily and joyfully followed the Lamb.

I realized that I had been trying to submit and follow by my own natural effort based on my knowledge that submitting and following is how to be one with other saints. But I was truly off from God’s economy. Praise the Lord for turning me back to His economy! Now I see that I need only ask, Where is the Lamb going? What is the Lamb in me doing? Then I should follow Him. This is new light for me, and I pray it might become my daily experience.
